Case Manager, Supportive Housing Programs

Key Qualifications

1. Minimum Education Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services preferred. Minimum of a 2-year degree AND relevant work experience
2. Excellent communication skills especially listening, mediation, and writing skills
3. Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to meet a demanding workload
4. Detail-oriented to complete requirements of files and contract compliance
5. Creative thinker and problem solver
6. Knowledge or understanding of tenant’s rights and responsibilities as well as “best practices” case management, especially related to housing
7. Concentrated and thorough record-keeping, budgeting, and mathematical skills
8. Demonstrated knowledge of county social service agencies and community programs
9. Fluency in the English language is required. Spanish-speaking ability is an added asset but is not required
10. Experience with computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office
11. Valid driver’s license and a car that is registered and insured
12. · Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population served
13. A commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems, as well as a conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change
14. The ability to establish a respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence
15. The ability to work collaboratively with other personnel and/or service providers or professionals
16. The capacity to maintain a helping role and to intervene appropriately to meet service goals
17. The ability to set appropriate limits
