The Intake Specialist supports the work of Tenfold’s programs and services in Lancaster and York Counties. The vision of Tenfold is a healthy and vibrant community ensuring housing choices for everyone and we advance this vision through our programs, advocacy, lending, technical assistance and education initiatives. This position is key to our capacity for serving the community as we continue to grow outreach and education activities. 

Essential Functions:

  1. Respond to clients who reach Tenfold through various means inquiring about our programs and services by providing information, directing their call to the appropriate team member and/or making referrals other agencies.
  2. Perform and document basic demographic screening of clients seeking Tenfold services.
  3. Schedule client appointments with team members to provide services and follow up with clients to receive needed information and documentation.
  4. Assess inquiries from the public to determine if activities described are potential violations of the Fair Housing Act and other relevant housing regulations and laws.
  5. Provide technical assistance in preparing Fair Housing complaint questionnaires and gather all pertinent documentation for submission to appropriate local, state or federal enforcement entities.
  6. Assist with reasonable accommodation and modification requests and informal housing resolutions to address fair housing issues.
  7. Input and track necessary data and information on computer systems and programs.
  8. Provide administrative support as needed to team members with scheduling appointments and data entry.
  9. Assist with program outreach and marketing of Tenfold programs and services.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, at least 1 year full-time employment in a comparable position or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Ability to effectively operate computer systems and have moderate software skills in the areas of word-processing, database, spreadsheet, and data entry as well as internet research abilities.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel are required.
  • Interpersonal skills that allows for effective communication with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, languages and abilities.  Friendly and consistent phone demeanor.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, set steady work pace, follow through in work assignments, update and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of populations served

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week.
