The SoWe Coordinator position works to support Tenfold’s SoWe Program initiative to implement the South West Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy which enables residents and partners to stem the tide of disinvestment and create a neighborhood that is safe, clean and attractive to economic investment, and welcoming to residents and visitors. The SoWe Coordinator provides support to SoWe programs including Block Liaisons, Porch Light Programs, SoWe’s committees and engagement efforts. This position will work closely with the SoWe Director to develop and implement community engagement strategies.

Key Qualifications

1. Critical thinking; strong communication skills both verbal and written; Spanish communication ability preferred

2. Proficiency in the use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. in establishing rapport with the community

3. High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degrees in business, communications, and Public Administration preferred

4. 2 years of experience in community development, community organizing, event planning, marketing helpful

5. Experience working in a professional environment while engaging with members of the public including neighborhood residents, clients, and public officials

6. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite

7. Ability to engage with diverse members of the community; Ability to traverse the neighborhood comfortably and meet community members where they are

8. Conflict resolution skills

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
