Purpose Statement


Supporting the future of Lancaster County, the Coalition for Sustainable Housing is a diverse group of organizations and individuals who collaborate, advocate and educate for housing solutions for everyone.

 

Who We Are


What does it mean to be a member? We work together to drive solutions and affect change in the affordable housing space.

2026 GOALS
  1. Advance local zoning reform – Support municipalities in updating zoning to allow a wider range of homes and neighborhoods that fit Lancaster County’s future.

  2. Strengthen state and federal advocacy – Align with partners to elevate Lancaster County’s voice in housing policy decisions.

  3. Build public awareness and engagement – Increase understanding of housing needs and solutions through education, storytelling, and community conversations.

  4. Ensure coalition sustainability – Strengthen partnerships, leadership, and shared accountability to keep the work moving forward.

  5. Improve internal infrastructure – Create systems and tools that make collaboration and communication across the coalition easier and more effective.

  6. Deepen member engagement – Offer meaningful ways for coalition members to contribute, connect, and lead in advancing housing solutions.

All meetings are held on Fridays at the Lancaster Chamber Building (115 E. King St.) from 10:30 am -12 pm. Light breakfast and coffee provided.
