Meet Breanna

Breanna and her four children were experiencing homelessness and found shelter at TLC when their lease wasn’t renewed. While at TLC, Breanna and the children were provided with a safe and stable environment along with individualized case management services that provided support and encouragement. Breanna shares, “When I arrived at TLC, I felt out of place with many changes coming at us all at once; it was rough. But I quickly found where I needed to be at that moment. My family was surrounded by loving and caring staff members who I now regard as friends. Priyanka, Jewelz, Jen, Andrew, Justin, and many others at TLC were my rocks and wonderful sounding boards. I recall at Christmas how blown away I was because I had no money. My children were asked by TLC staff to write three things they would like. I then learned that generous donors purchased these gifts for my kids. It was just so heart-warming.”

While at TLC, Breanna and the children were provided with a safe and stable environment along with individualized case management services that provided support and encouragement. TLC provides one-on-one counseling in areas such as budgeting, savings, securing employment, and accessing other community resources. Through hard work, Breanna and her children now have their own sustainable apartment! In looking toward her future, she would love a career utilizing her talents in home design. Breanna shares, “I along with my children am secure with our own place, and we can continue our road to healing.”

When individuals, families, or veterans are faced with homelessness, TLC offers temporary housing and support where they can experience the warmth, compassion, and empowerment that Breanna did while she put in the hard work to build a better life for her family. In looking toward her future, Breanna would love a career utilizing her talents in home design.
