Meet Sheila

Sheila experienced a period of numerous challenges and struggles; she was on the verge of losing her apartment and with no family in the area, worrying about where she and her son would go to find shelter. She reached out to TLC/Veterans’ Victory House (a temporary home for individuals, veterans, and families experiencing homelessness), where a room was available for Sheila and her son.

At TLC, she found a very supportive staff empowering her with new tools, resources, and skills she could use to put in the hard work of breaking through those barriers to achieve her goals.
